Our Mission is to promote community while providing a warm,
supportive environment in which students can engage in Ashtanga.
We offer classes for students of all levels, and especially welcome beginners. In addition, private lessons and instruction for in-house group events or off-site classes are available.
As you get to know us, you'll soon find out that serving our community, both locally as and globally, is just as important to us as our yoga practice. Thus, in keeping with our viewpoint that we can build a better world through action and assistance, The Yoga Loft has and continues to aid the following organizations by providing donations, supporting fundraisers and events, and/or facilitating their missions.
A portion of all class card sales goes to this effort. We thank our students for their support, which makes this possible.
The Fund was created in 2004 to provide resources to the impoverished children of Moree, Ghana who cannot afford to go to school on their own. Moree, a village that supports a small-scale fishing economy, is the home of hundreds of children whose daily lives center on finding means to earn money to survive. They typically live in mud huts or tin shacks with parents who earn less than $1/day. Thus, education is out of reach for these children, and without it, they lack the opportunity to make choices about their futures. The Fund provides tuition, books, uniforms and all other necessities for them to participate in primary education. It is our hope that through this effort, we open doors for those who are eager to seek a brighter future. If you would like more information, please talk to Sheila.
